Assemblymember Levine Holds Press Conference Regarding Vaccine Bill SB 277

Thursday, July 2, 2015

(Sacramento) – Flanked by Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-San Rafael), Senator Ben Allen (D-Santa Monica) and Senator Richard Pan (D-Sacramento), young cancer survivor and vaccine advocate, Rhett Krawitt delivered over 32,000 signatures to Governor Brown asking him to sign Senate Bill 277.  If enacted, SB 277 authored by State Senators Allen and Pan, would remove the “personal beliefs” exemption from the California law that requires all children to be vaccinated before attending school.  Before delivering the box of signatures to the governor, Assemblymember Levine hosted a press conference regarding the very heated vaccine debate.  Watch this Assembly Access Video to learn more.
