Assemblymember Levine Agrees with Governor that the State is in a Strong Position to Address Challenges

Thursday, January 23, 2014

(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-San Rafael) echoes Governor Jerry Brown’s cautious optimism as laid out in the governor’s annual State of the State Address.  Assemblymember Levine is heartened by the governor’s continued commitment to fiscal responsibility, reinvestment in education, the rainy day fund and empowering cities and counties.  Levine is focused on working with his colleagues and the governor on climate change issues and the state’s drought crisis.

“California needs to explore all options to make sure our water resources are conserved and saved,” said Levine.  “Whether it’s on crops or for livestock, we have to find ways to use every drop of water twice.”
