(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-Marin County), along with legislative colleagues and California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones announced a package of 13 bills regarding consumer protection and underinsurance for Californian’s ravaged by wildfires. “With climate change causing an increase in the severity and number of wildfires across the state, it is important to strengthen consumer protection for survivors of natural disasters,” said Assemblymember Levine. “While we can’t change the past, this package of bills will address some of the shortcomings in law that was revealed by the California fires.” Assemblymember Marc Levine is authoring Assembly Bills 1797, 1799, and 1800.
