It’s important to hear directly from you about your thoughts on flood risk and protecting the community from future flooding. Reducing flood risk is especially critical in Ross Valley and the State is playing a major role in the project by providing essential matching funds to local agencies.
The Ross Valley Flood Protection and Watershed Program has been awarded $18 million from the California Department of Water Resources to fund projects that will reduce flood risk and improve habitat. Projects include the temporary storage of floodwaters, replacing bridges, widening creeks and channels to convey more waters, removal of a building or structure that restricts creek flow, restoring creek habitat and improving fish passage.
As officials work to reduce flood risk, your input can shape the solutions that will keep the community safe. Please take a moment to fill out the survey below.
