(Sacramento)- Today Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-Marin County) recognized Andy’s Market as the North Bay Small Business of the Year.

“I am proud to recognize Andy’s Market as the North Bay Business of the Year because of their strong support for our community,” said Levine. “Andy’s Market has supported local organizations like San Rafael City Schools, San Rafael Heads-Up Foundation, San Rafael Little League, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, and several youth sports programs.”

“We’re happy to be recognized as the North Bay Business of the Year” said Andy Bachich, owner of Andy’s Market. “Giving back is at the core of our business model and it is wonderful to see that aspect of our work recognized by the State Assembly.”

Andy’s Market was founded over 10 ago years and has more than 60 employees. Currently, Andy’s Market has two locations in East and West San Rafael. They plan to open a third location in Corte Madera in the fall.

On Monday, the California Small Business Association hosted its annual California Small Business Day at the State Capitol and the Sacramento Convention Center.  Every Member of the Legislature annually selects a local business to be recognized as their “Small Business of the Year.”
