Assemblymember Levine Condemns Decision to Leave Paris Agreement

Thursday, June 1, 2017

(Sacramento)- Today, Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-Marin County) released the following statement after President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Agreement:

“President Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement is dangerous and foretells a dark future for Mother Earth. Already, California is seeing the results of climate change. Our State has experienced devastating wildfires, drought, floods, and landslides that have disrupted lives and hurt our economy. California must continue to lead the world in the fight against climate change. Thankfully the Assembly advanced my bill, AB 79, to make sure Trump can't shovel dirty coal energy into California.
