Thursday, June 15, 2017

(Sacramento)- Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-Marin County) released the following statement regarding the Legislature’s passage of the 2017-18 state budget:

“The budget is a reflection of our values as Californians.  A growing economy enables us to pay down our debt, expand the rainy day fund while increasing funding for education, healthcare, and social services,” said Assemblymember Levine. "The budget increases funding for K-12 and higher education and helps our neediest families through the State Earned Income Tax Credit. The budget also includes funding to implement my AB 2511 which invests in carbon sequestration practices that increases drought resilience and agricultural productivity while removing carbon emissions from the atmosphere.”
