Assemblymember Levine Hosts Virtual Townhall on Preventing Consumer Fraud

(SAN RAFAEL, CA) – Assemblymember Marc Levine (D – Marin County) hosted the latest in a series of virtual townhalls to discuss important issues impacting North Bay families. This virtual townhall focused on ways to protect yourself from EDD fraud, consumer fraud and specific tools available to help prevent you or your loved ones from being a victim of fraud.


Levine’s townhall featured Sally Kim Westlake of the California Department of Insurance, Kevin Durawa of Contractors State Licensing Board, and Mark Vanderscoff from the County of Marin. They shared valuable information about how to empower consumers from being victims of fraud, how to identify warning signs of potential fraudulent business activities and steps that should be taken if you believe you are a victim of fraud.
