All district and capitol staff are available to assist the public with any inquiries or concerns and to answer any questions you may have about pending or potential legislation.  Please feel free to call on us any time.

Capitol Staff:

Minnie Santillan is the chief of staff for Assemblymember Levine. Minnie oversees the capitol and district office staff and responds to media inquiries. For the quickest response, media inquiries should be sent via e-mail to Minnie. She also is responsible for monitoring all issues and legislation for Assemblymember Levine.

David Sforza is Assemblymember Levine's Legislative Director. David manages Assemblymember Levine's legislative package and is responsible for monitoring the progress of bills authored by other members of the Legislature. Additionally, David is responsible for staffing Assemblymember Levine on the Water Parks and Wildlife Committee as wells as Rules Committee. In addition, He handles banking and finance, budget, elections and redistricting, insurance, judiciary, labor and employment, natural resources, privacy and consumer protection, public safety, revenue and taxation and veteran affairs issues.

Jenny Berg is a legislative assistant for Assemblymember Levine. Jenny is also the consultant for the California Legislative Jewish Caucus. Jenny is responsible for staffing issues relating to Aging and Long Term Care, Arts, Entertainment, Sport, Tourism, and Internet Media, Banking and Finance, Higher Education, Human Services and the Jewish Caucus.

Garen Kazanjian is a Legislative Assistant for Assemblymember Levine. Garen staffs the Assemblymember on the Water, Parks, and Wildlife Committee, and handles diverse issue areas including agriculture, elections, environmental safety and toxic materials, health, labor, natural resources, privacy, utilities and energy, and veterans affairs. He also staffs the Bay Area Caucus and the Environmental Caucus.

Buck Ellingson is a Legislative Aide with Assemblymember Levine. Buck is responsible for staffing the Assemblymember on the Government Organizations committee, the Select Committee on Craft Brewing and Distilling, as well as a number of bills. Besides these responsibilities, Buck handles issues relating to Accountability & Administrative Review, K-12 Education, Business & Professions, Jobs and Economic Development, Housing & Community Development, and Local Government, Public Employees, Retirement, and Social Security, Revenue and Taxation, and Transportation.

District Staff:

Melissa Apuya is the District Director. She staffs issues in the district relating to state budget, labor, local government, public safety, and transportation. Melissa represents Assemblymember Levine in the communities of Ross, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Novato, and Sonoma County. Melissa also performs constituent casework and district outreach activities.

Joan Lubamersky is a field representative who staffs issues in the district relating to aging, disabilities, insurance, veterans, and women. Joan represents Assemblymember Levine in the Marin communities of Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Larkspur, Kentfield, and Mill Valley. Joan also performs constituent casework and district outreach activities..

Henry Symons is a field representative who staffs issues in the district relating to agriculture, education, elections, public employment, and the environment. Henry represents Assemblymember Levine in the communities of West Marin, Tamalpais-Homestead Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, Sausalito, and San Rafael. Henry is also responsible for staffing Assemblymember Levine

Calum Weeks is a field representative who staffs issues in the district relating to banking, consumer protection, jobs & economic development, judiciary, labor, natural resources, and utilities. Calum represents Assemblymember Levine in the communities of West Marin, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Sonoma. Calum also performs constituent casework and district outreach activities.

Janelle Wetzstein is a field representative who staffs issues in the district relating to the arts, education, health and human services, homelessness, housing, and taxation. Janelle represents Assemblymember Levine in the communities of Cotati, Penngrove, Petaluma, Roseland, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, and the city of Sonoma. Janelle also performs constituent casework and district outreach activities.
