Assemblymember Levine Announces Distilled Spirits Legislation

(San Francisco) - Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-San Rafael), along with several other lawmakers and small business owners, announced legislation at a State Capitol news conference that would allow the direct sale of up to three bottles of distilled spirits per person per day at the distillery. “States that have overturned prohibition-era laws have seen a booming craft distilling industry. Direct-to-consumer sales have been particularly beneficial for small distilleries,” said Levine. KGO Radio reporter Leslie Brinkley spoke with Assemblymember Levine about AB 1233 and filed these stories.
